Voronoi

Voronoi is a technique used to create textures similar to scales or a cracked desert floor (such as the image below). Creating a Voronoi texture is very simple. To create the texture you make a set of random points. Then each pixel colors itself the same as the point it is closest to. My version has some distortion added to it to make it more interesting.
